National Law University (NLU), Delhi conducts the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) annually to admit candidates into the National Law University (NLU), Delhi.
The University’s primary objective is to provide comprehensive and interdisciplinary legal education that promotes legal and ethical values, fosters the rule of law, and upholds the objectives of the Constitution of India. Through justice education, the institution aims to empower individuals to address contemporary issues and contribute to social, political, and economic change in the country.

AGE LIMIT
There is no age limit for appearing in the examination.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- The candidates must have passed class 12th or an equivalent examination with aggregate not less than 45% of the total marks if belonging from the general category and not less than 40% if belonging to SC/ST/Persons with Disability. The Eligibility condition for admission of students under the Foreign Nationals category shall be 65% marks in the calss 12th or an equivalent examination.
- The candidates appearing/awaiting results of the qualifying examination can also apply and appear in the entrance test.
LLM (1 year programme)
AGE LIMIT
There is no age limit for appearing in the examination.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Candidates must have passed graduation in Law from a university recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) with a score of at least 50% aggregate marks for general category and at least 45% for SC, ST category.

- If two or more candidates get the same marks at the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), their merit will be determined on the basis of higher marks in LOGICAL REASONING section.
- If the merit is still same, then the candidate senior in age shall get preference. If still there is no change in merit, then computerized draw of lots shall be taken into consideration.
