NEET-UG Exam Row: Supreme Court To Hear Fresh Batch of Pleas By NTA

  • The Supreme Court will hear fresh petitions related to alleged paper leaks and malpractices in NEET-UG 2024 on Thursday.
  • The petitions will be heard by the vacation bench comprising Justice Vikram Nath and Justice SVN Bhatti.
  • Eight petitions have been filed by 56 students highlighting anomalies in the NEET-UG examination.
  • The Student Federation of India (SFI), a unit of the Communist Party, has filed a petition urging cancellation of the exam and a fresh conduct.
  • Petitions seek directives to the Central Government and exam conducting agencies to ensure transparency, prevent paper leaks, and curb unfair practices in future exams.
  • Additionally, the Supreme Court will hear a petition from 20 students requesting an investigation into the irregularities by an independent agency such as the CBI or under the court’s supervision.
