Meaning: kind, generous and forgiving (especially towards an enemy or a competitor that you have beaten)

Synonyms: bountiful, chivalrous, disinterested, generous, liberal, munificent, noble

Antonyms: avaricious, covetous, ignoble, niggardly, parsimonious, penurious, rapacious, stingy.

Example: I feel it would be a magnanimous gesture if we gave them all back again.
