Pakistan Placed On FATF’s ‘Grey List’
The global anti-terror financing firm, Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has decided to keep Pakistan on its ‘grey list’. The decision to place Pakistan on the global money-laundering watchdogs grey list was made during itsplenary meeting in Paris.
The Finance Minister Shamshad Akhtar urged the FATF to remove Pakistan from its grey list.
The FATF is an inter-governmental body established in 1989 to combat terrorist financing and money laundering. The FATF had earlier put Pakistan on its grey list between 2012 and 2015.
